The Gantt view helps you plan and manage projects by visualizing tasks, dependencies, milestones, and progress. It provides managers and teams with a clear schedule for future items and processes, ensuring everyone stays aligned.

To enable the Gantt view for your project, first ensure your group is ready.
If you’re creating a new group, follow the steps in Create a Group.
If you want to add Gantt to an existing group, see Group Settings.

Groups in Tuqqi are centralized, flexible workspaces that organize teams, tasks, and information to make collaboration easy and effective.

Task Groups

A Group of Tasks is a way to organize related tasks within a project. It can represent a project phase, category, or workflow, helping you manage, track progress, and visualize dependencies.

Creating a Task Group

  • Click the three dots next to the project or group name.

  • Select Add Group of Tasks to create a new group.

Default Task Group

  • Every Gantt group includes a default “Unassigned Group of Tasks” at the top of the list.

  • New tasks not assigned to a specific group are automatically placed here.

  • Move tasks between groups by dragging and dropping them in the Gantt view.

Creating Tasks within a Task Group

  • Click the three dots next to the task group name and select Add New Task.

  • Fill in the task details, including start/end dates, status, and assignees.

Items in Tuqqi help employees track tasks at any stage - new, active, completed, or in progress - and include features that make the platform flexible for any work environment.

Managing Tasks

  • Move tasks between groups: Drag and drop tasks in the Gantt view.

  • Delete a task: Click the three dots on the right side of the task and select Delete.

Note: Task groups can also be changed or reorganized from the full view or the table view.

Dependencies

Dependencies show how tasks are linked and the order in which they should be completed.

  • Connect the end of a predecessor task to the start of a successor task in the Gantt chart.

  • Dependencies ensure project timelines reflect the correct sequence of work.

  • In the full Item View, predecessor and successor tasks are also displayed.

Milestones

A milestone is a key point in your project cycle that helps track progress and ensure the project stays on schedule.

  • Milestones appear as diamonds on the Gantt chart.

  • Any task or item with a duration of 0 (same start and end date) is automatically shown as a milestone.

  • Use milestones to mark important deadlines, approvals, or project phases.

💡 Tip: Milestones make critical checkpoints and timelines easy to track at a glance.

Moving Items Between Statuses

Statuses show the current stage of an item in a process - whether it’s just starting, in progress, waiting for review, or completed.

👉 Learn more about Statuses by clicking here.

  • In the Gantt view, locate the Status column in the left-side table.

  • Click a status to open a modal and move the task to a different status.

  • Task bars are color-coded based on their status.

💡 Tip: Updating statuses regularly ensures your team can quickly identify items that need attention.

Start & End Dates

Set task start and end dates in two ways:

  • Table (left side): Select the start and end date fields and enter values.

  • Chart (right side): Drag the ends of the task bar to adjust visually.

Important: Tasks without a start or end date will not appear in the Gantt view.

Today Button

Use the Today button to quickly jump to the current date in your Gantt chart. It’s especially useful for navigating large projects, one click brings you back to the present timeline. The Today button is located in the top-right corner of the Gantt chart, with the Zoom In and Zoom Out buttons immediately to its left.

Zoom In/Out

Use the zoom buttons to adjust your timeline view:

  • Zoom In: View tasks by days or weeks for detailed scheduling.

  • Zoom Out: View tasks by months or quarters for a broader project overview.

Assignees

Assign team members to tasks:

  • Locate the Assignees column in the left-side table.

  • Click it to open a modal and select the members to assign.

Progress

Gantt tracks progress at three levels:

  • Task Progress: Set completion % (0–100%) in the Gantt table, table view, or full item view. Task bar opacity updates automatically.

  • Group of Tasks Progress: Automatically calculated from all tasks in the group.

  • Project Progress: Automatically updated from all task groups.

Filters

Use filters to focus on relevant tasks:

  • By members

  • By form

  • By status color

  • By status

  • By group of tasks

  • By linked items

💡 Tip: Filters help quickly find tasks and monitor specific parts of your project.

Saved Reports

When you create a saved report, the report remembers your selected filters and column settings, so your preferred view appears each time you open it.

To create a saved report:

  • Arrange the table to your preference.

  • Click New Report in the top-right corner.

  • Enter a title and description, then click Save.

Managing Reports:

  • Edit: Open a report, adjust the data, then click Save Changes to Report.

  • Delete: Removes the saved report; tasks remain unaffected.

  • Share: Group admins can share reports with all members for consistent views.

  • Click the download icon in the top-right corner.

  • Select Excel to export the table and all task groups (automatically expanded).
