From Kanban, it is possible to quickly create an item.
The Kanban view is a way to visualize and manage items within a group. It organizes items into columns representing different stages of a workflow, such as “To Do,” “In Progress,” and “Done.”
An Item in Tuqqi represents a task, work unit, or deliverable within a group. Items can include details such as start and end dates, assignees, statuses, dependencies, and progress, allowing teams to track work from creation to completion efficiently.
The only condition is that a single form is allowed in the group settings. Fast item creation will not work if multiple forms are enabled - in that case, the standard item creation process must be used.
A Form in Tuqqi defines the structure and fields of an item. It determines what information is collected when creating or editing an item, including mandatory and optional fields, helping standardize task details across a group.
With this feature, you can create a new item in any column using either the standard '+' icon or the lightning icon ⚡ for faster input.
Clicking the '+' icon opens the full item view, allowing you to enter all details as usual. This is best for creating items with complete information.
Clicking the lightning icon ⚡ lets you quickly type the item title, press Enter, and move on - perfect for rapid task entry or entering multiple items in a row without leaving the Kanban view.
What happens if my form has a mandatory field?
If a required field is left blank, a Draft item will be created. Drafts allow you to continue your workflow without interruption and can be edited later to fill in the missing information. Draft items remain in the Kanban view with a visual indicator so you can easily identify and complete them.
