Tuqqi allows you to upload and share files either directly from your device or from a connected cloud storage provider. This makes it easy to collaborate using files stored locally or in services like Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive.
This article explains how to upload files, the differences between local and cloud files, where you can use this functionality, and how access permissions work.
Ways to Upload Files in Tuqqi
You can upload files to Tuqqi in two ways:
From your device (local upload)
From a cloud storage provider (Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive)
Both options are available when creating or editing content such as posts, tasks, or updates.

You can upload files, either from your device or from a cloud storage provider, in the following areas of Tuqqi:

How Cloud Files Work in Tuqqi
Cloud files behave differently from files uploaded from your device:
Files are not copied into Tuqqi.
Tuqqi creates a link to the file stored in the cloud provider.
Clicking the provider logo opens the file in the cloud provider’s viewer.
Any updates made in the cloud provider are automatically reflected in Tuqqi.
Permissions for Cloud Files
Access to cloud files is managed by the cloud provider, not by Tuqqi.
To access a cloud file attached in Tuqqi, a user must:
Have their Tuqqi account connected to the same cloud provider.
Have permission to access the file in that cloud provider.
Have access to the Tuqqi item where the file is attached.
If any of these conditions are not met, the user will not be able to open the file—even if they can see the attachment in Tuqqi.
If you haven’t connected your cloud storage provider account yet, you won’t be able to access shared cloud files.

Downloading Files
Files uploaded from your device can be downloaded directly from Tuqqi.
Cloud files must be opened in the cloud provider’s viewer (by clicking the provider logo). From there, the file can be downloaded according to the permissions defined in the cloud provider.
Important Differences Between Device and Cloud Uploads
Feature | Upload from Device | Upload from Cloud |
Where the file is stored | Tuqqi | Cloud provider |
Who manages permissions | Tuqqi | Cloud provider |
Requires cloud account | No | Yes |
File updates reflected automatically | No | Yes |

Removing Files
Device-uploaded files: Removing the attachment removes the file from Tuqqi.
Cloud files: Removing the attachment only removes the link in Tuqqi. The file remains in the cloud provider.
Security Note
Tuqqi does not change or override the security or permission settings defined in your cloud storage provider.
Frequently Asked Questions

The file is shared with you in the cloud provider.
The cloud account connected to Tuqqi is the same account that has access to the file.
The account currently logged into your browser matches the cloud account connected to Tuqqi.

Make sure that:
You are logged into the same cloud account in your browser that is connected to Tuqqi.
The file exists and you have permission to access it in the cloud provider.
